Raise Me Up's Mission
You don’t have to raise a child to raise them up.
You just have to raise your hand.
And say you’ll help.
The words are simple. The truths, even more so.
At Casey Family Programs, Raise Me Up not only is our rallying cry, but one of our most important initiatives in recent years.
A lot of people are under the impression that in order to impact the life of a child in foster care, they have to become a foster parent.
A lot of people are under the impression that in order to impact the life of a child in foster care, they have to become a foster parent.
We wanted to dispel that myth.
We wanted to dispel that myth. And show people how easy it is to dramatically change the life of a vulnerable child in foster care with just a small commitment of time.
Whether it’s driving a kid to practice, helping with homework or just lending a sympathetic ear, the benefits will be felt for a lifetime. For both child and volunteer alike.

Raise Me Up's Goals
On any given day in America there are nearly 500,000 children living in foster care.
These children are more likely to become homeless, enter the prison system and experience post-traumatic stress disorder than their peers who enjoy the stability of a permanent family.
Raise Me Up is dedicated to safely reducing the number of children in foster care by teaming up community organizations and volunteers like you with children in need.
We can’t do it alone. We need you to raise your hand to help. To get started, please select your state from the “Community” menu.
Goals of the Raise Me Up campaign:
- Strengthen families and improve the lives of millions of children.
- Inspire action and engagement.
- Focus people on the real challenges facing children in foster care.
